Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately evaluate mood disorder symptoms in clients, documenting severity, frequency, and duration.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their individual challenges, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the specific needs of clients.

• Provide essential education and support to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as needed to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and meet client objectives.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Expertise in recognized treatment methodologies for mood disorders, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology, which will aid in effective collaboration with prescribing psychiatrists.
