Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from a comfortable environment of your choice while being part of a collaborative outpatient team. While working remotely, you will maintain regular communication with colleagues and participate in team meetings via video conferencing. Our work hours are primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to tailor treatment plans that address the unique experiences of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques, while considering each patient’s cultural context.

• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to tackle various mental health issues, fostering resilience and coping strategies.

• Engage in collaborative meetings with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.

• Respond to mental health crises with appropriate interventions, guiding patients and families towards immediate and effective support.

• Provide educational resources to patients and their families about mental health conditions, coping mechanisms, and local community resources.

• Document all patient interactions meticulously to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards of mental health practice.

• Participate actively in case conferences, cultural competency training, and ongoing professional development.

• Research and stay informed about advancements in mental health treatment to continuously refine and enhance therapeutic skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated expertise in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Extensive experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using culturally responsive approaches.

• Proven crisis intervention skills with the ability to navigate challenging situations with composure and professionalism.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) management and digital documentation practices.
\n
• Strong commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality, and professional collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical mental health setting is required.

• Prior experience working with minority populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants, is highly preferred.

• Experience in utilizing teletherapy platforms and remote consultation methods effectively.
