Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and preliminary interviews to document individual cases.

• Assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs to develop tailored intervention strategies.
\n
• Create detailed recovery and intervention plans suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapy sessions (both individual and group) aimed at addressing and resolving mental health issues.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on their development.
\n
• Collaborate with healthcare workers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care effectively.
\n
• Follow up with clients admitted to hospitals to ensure continuity and coherence in treatment.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive measures to prevent regressions.
\n
• Support families and primary caregivers in managing the complexities of mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working with a diverse client population facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes individuals with anxiety, depression, relational issues, and complex behavioral needs. Being able to adapt your approach based on the client's unique background and circumstances will be key in this role.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R valid in New York State.
\n
• A strong performance on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Experience in mental health counseling demonstrating a depth of understanding in client care strategies.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR.
\n
• Knowledge of the interplay between mental health, physical health conditions, and substance abuse disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated capacity for empathy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior involvement in developing community outreach programs or mental health training initiatives.

• Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment practices.

• Engagement in continuing education to keep abreast of evolving trends and methodologies in therapy and counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
