Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via secure video chat, providing therapeutic support that is tailored to each client’s unique experiences and challenges.

• Foster an open dialogue with clients, encouraging them to explore their emotions and personal histories, thus facilitating insight into their mental health and relationships.

• Serve as an advocate for your clients; helping them define realistic and achievable personal goals while providing the necessary tools and strategies to reach them.

• Assess clients’ mental health conditions through detailed evaluations and create comprehensive treatment plans that reflect a solution-focused approach.

• Monitor ongoing progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure that clients are receiving the most effective care tailored to their evolving needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• Must possess an independent license (one of the following) issued by the state of California: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Provisional or limited licenses are not accepted.

• Demonstrated ability to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendations regarding treatment planning and implementation.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature, enabling effective communication and rapport building with clients.
\n
• Strong computer skills including familiarity with teletherapy platforms and online documentation systems.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, prior experience working with diverse clinical populations or within community health settings can be beneficial. A history of utilizing evidence-based practices and familiarity with trauma-informed care are also preferred.
