Position Overview

Work Environment

Located in Pembroke Pines, our rehabilitation facility provides a welcoming and professional setting where patient care is the foremost priority. Working onsite, you will engage directly with patients in a facility equipped with modern therapeutic tools and technology. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., allowing for a stable work-life balance without weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day activities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing and identifying each patient's goals and specific needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Managing a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring personalized and focused treatments.
• Implementing evidence-based physical therapy interventions to enhance mobility and restore function.
• Designing individualized care plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques, tailored to optimize each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Encouraging patients through their recovery process, motivating them to adhere to their treatment plans and strive for their goals.
• Documenting all patient interactions thoroughly, maintaining accurate records of progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and inclusive care for each patient.
• Exploring non-invasive alternatives to surgery and reducing reliance on medications through effective therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By providing expert guidance and personalized therapy experiences, you will play a key role in restoring their independence and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A clear record with no previous board or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of exercise programs.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT for efficient record-keeping.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Previous work in outpatient orthopedic settings where hands-on patient care and personalized treatment plans were emphasized.
• Experience in developing wellness programs tailored to meet individual patient needs and improving long-term health outcomes.
• Participation in continuing education opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in therapy practices and technologies.
