Key Responsibilities Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide individualized counseling tailored to the specific needs of your clients. Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at fostering wellness and support networks among birthing individuals and their families. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with organizational policies and licensing regulations. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance care coordination and share best practices. Assist clients with case management tasks, including connecting them to relevant resources and services. Contribute to program development by offering insights based on your experience with clients and community needs. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on providing mental health services to Black birthing families, addressing their unique social, emotional, and psychological needs. You will work closely with clients during a critical time in their lives, offering compassionate support in various aspects of mental health, from prenatal counseling to postpartum adjustments. Your efforts will directly contribute to fostering healthier family dynamics and building resilient communities. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. Current active licenses as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team members and seeking help as needed. Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with perinatal populations. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Theory. Previous involvement in community outreach, advocacy, or related public health initiatives. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 , commensurate with experience and caseload.
