Pike Creek Physical Therapy Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our Highland Park Rehabilitation Center. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will primarily work onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Highland Park, New Jersey. The typical work schedule consists of 40 hours weekly, including variable weekends. Key Responsibilities

The Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist will undertake numerous essential responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and orthopedic disabilities to devise appropriate treatment plans.
• Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding patient care and treatment progression, while ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
• Engaging positively with patients from diverse backgrounds, maintaining our high customer service standards throughout their care journey.
• Implementing comprehensive treatment plans, assessing treatment outcomes regularly, and modifying approaches as necessary to improve patient recovery.
• Collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referral sources, and physicians to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives and contributing to program development to improve patient engagement and care quality.
• Documenting patient progress accurately in compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, including physical therapy aides and students, to enhance team performance and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with patients experiencing orthopedic injuries and conditions, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to managing chronic pain. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Through attentive and empathetic care, the therapist will contribute to enhancing the functional independence and overall health of our clients.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information simply and effectively.
• Familiarity with word processing and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate may also possess:

• Previous experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting, showcasing a track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation techniques and tools, including therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff or students within a clinical setting.
