Work Environment

The work setting is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technologies to connect our therapists with clients effectively. This model allows for increased accessibility for patients who may struggle to attend in-person appointments due to various barriers. Our practice operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility in scheduling required to accommodate client needs and preferences. We are devoted to providing continual support and training for our staff to excel in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that honor the cultural backgrounds of patients, ensuring treatment plans align with their specific circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions in both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Administer crisis intervention services, supporting clients during mental health emergencies through immediate and effective responses.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, demystifying treatment processes and connecting them to local resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and other essential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including case conferences and cultural competency training sessions, to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele we serve comprises individuals from various backgrounds, each with distinctive mental health challenges and histories. Our focus on multicultural competency allows us to better understand their unique perspectives and needs. Counselors are encouraged to draw from their experiences and insights in navigating these complexities, creating a safer therapeutic space for all patients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrable knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and a strong focus on cultural competence.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling rapport building with a diverse client base.
• Experience in providing therapy in a remote setting using virtual health technologies.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting patient care efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with underserved populations or in multicultural settings, demonstrating an ability to tailor interventions according to varying cultural norms.
• Competence in crisis intervention strategies, with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism during high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote engagement tools utilized in delivering mental health services effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
