Work Environment

This remote position offers the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance while working with clients during standard business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will collaborate closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including psychiatrists, while having the ability to work independently in managing your clients’ care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood-related symptoms.
• Develop individualized and evidence-informed treatment plans in partnership with your clients, ensuring alignment with their unique needs and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions grounded in established methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to specific client profiles.
• Offer educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding treatment strategies and self-care practices.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes and ensure effective care.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated therapeutic services for clients.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in mood disorder treatments, contributing to the evolving effectiveness of our therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of client interactions, including assessments and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in professional development activities, including team meetings and case consultations, to refine clinical skills and share best practices.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, promoting awareness and reducing stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults struggling with mood disorders. This will require a sensitive and empathetic approach, as you work with individuals navigating challenges that affect their daily lives. You’ll play a crucial role in fostering resilience and improving overall mental health through tailored support and evidence-based therapies.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically for mood disorders.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, facilitating effective collaboration with medical professionals in client care.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve positive treatment outcomes with diverse client populations.
• Exceptional communication skills, fostering strong therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling setting.
• Direct experience working with clients facing mood disorders and a proven track record of successful interventions.
