Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote, Outpatient Setting

Position Overview

South Spring Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote, outpatient setting. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in the mental health journey of our clients, conducting evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering both individual and group therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through preliminary interviews to create a comprehensive understanding of each client's needs.
• Develop detailed and tailored intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote psychological well-being and foster coping strategies.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring interventions remain effective and relevant.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation through electronic health records, such as AVATAR, to track client progress and treatment efficacy.
• Implement preventive measures to identify and mitigate behaviors that could hinder recovery.
• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will engage with a population that values openness and collaboration, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic approach based on individual and family needs.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Proof of passing score on relevant national examinations (NCE and/or NCMHCE).
• Proficient understanding of electronic health records management, particularly with AVATAR or similar systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact compassionately with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Significant experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in an outpatient setting.
• Background in working with clients struggling with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Robust knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 , which includes a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
