Work Environment

This role requires working onsite, providing home care rehabilitation therapies to patients in Punta Gorda and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist at Atmore will undertake a wide range of responsibilities aimed at promoting optimal patient recovery and rehabilitation:

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs and progress.
• Provide ongoing consultation and communication with healthcare providers regarding patient care, including assessments of progress and needs for modifications in treatment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding patient interventions, outcomes, and billing processes, adhering to all professional standards and regulations.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating with team members to enhance patient care.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, and students, fostering a collaborative and instructive environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, marketing strategies, and community outreach programs.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices through ongoing education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily care for a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. You will be empowered to shape patient outcomes by applying evidence-based practices while addressing the unique cultural and personal needs of each individual.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in home health or outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing treatment plans for a wide range of conditions.
• Certification in CPR/BLS and familiarity with diagnostic imaging principles.
