Happy & Joyful Thoughts Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our facility in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in beautiful Lehigh Acres, Florida. Our flexible scheduling allows for a balance between work and personal life, with working hours predominantly from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop individualized rehabilitation programs that include a variety of therapeutic interventions such as exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and modalities for pain management.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on patients' progress and feedback.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices, ensuring an understanding of self-care practices.
• Create an environment that encourages patient engagement, educating them on the benefits of their treatment and the importance of adherence to prescribed exercises.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including treatment responses, progress notes, and updates to the care plan, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and collaborate on goals.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences related to physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and educational information to patients and families.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer applications for patient documentation and communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to the changing needs of patients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with a variety of patient populations and rehabilitation modalities.
• Previous experience in home care environments is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
