Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Developing detailed, individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's recovery goals and physician directives.
• Implementing physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on evaluations.
• Providing guidance and support to physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and safety standards.
• Educating patients and families about therapeutic exercises, use of assistive devices, and pain management strategies.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences to discuss patient updates and care approaches, ensuring a holistic approach to health.
• Completing all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Participating in professional development and training opportunities to stay current with industry best practices and innovations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions such as post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Your approach will center on patient engagement and education, empowering clients to take active roles in their recovery journey. Our patient population includes diverse age groups, from young athletes to seniors, providing a rich variety of cases that require tailored therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher degree from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A strong foundation in orthopedic physical therapy practices, with the ability to implement advanced treatment techniques.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to connect with patients and their families effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This rewarding role offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
