Work Environment

This role is a full-time, onsite position based in Old Bridge, New Jersey, specializing in home care. You will work weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our work setting strikes a balance between a fast-paced medical environment and the intimate setting of home care, allowing for in-depth patient interaction, where you can apply your expertise directly in their living spaces. This unique setting fosters a close connection with patients, enabling a more personalized approach to therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages suffering from orthopedic conditions, ensuring accurate assessments for effective treatment planning.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with individual patient goals, preferences, and medical histories, adapting approaches based on progress and feedback.
• Employ evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques to facilitate recovery, including manual therapy, strength training, and mobility exercises.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care that addresses the holistic needs of patients.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, self-care techniques, and the importance of adhering to prescribed exercise regimens, enhancing their capacity for self-management.
• Document patient progress and therapy outcomes meticulously to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of practice protocols and improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will primarily consist of patients with orthopedic injuries, post-operative conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders, ranging from young athletes to elderly individuals. This role entails an emphasis on restoring mobility, enhancing function, and improving the quality of life through targeted rehabilitation strategies. You will be instrumental in guiding patients through their recovery pathways, assisting them in reclaiming their independence and mobility.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, demonstrating a solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation principles.
• Exceptional clinical assessment skills and proficiency in developing treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage patient caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in orthopedic physical therapy with demonstrated success in delivering rehabilitation services.
• Experience working in home health settings or community-based therapy environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and reporting tools used in patient care management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
