Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within a home care setting, where you will engage with patients in their own environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, which may include physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to assess their mobility and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with each patient's specific orthopedic needs.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and the application of modalities to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Regularly assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Create individualized fitness and wellness programs that promote long-term health and prevent re-injury.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, treatment protocols, and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery processes, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to enhance health and wellness.
• Motivate and empower patients during their rehabilitation journey to achieve personal goals and milestones.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Kessler Rehabilitation Center, you will primarily serve patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic pain conditions. Our client population ranges from post-operative orthopedic patients to individuals seeking rehabilitation for sports injuries or age-related conditions. A keen understanding of orthopedic principles and practices will enable you to provide effective, targeted interventions that support recovery and mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• A valid and current New Jersey Physical Therapy license.
• Strong interest and commitment to treating orthopedic populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation strongly preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits
