Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, leading to effective treatment planning.

• Develop tailored intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups that align with evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of various client demographics.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction.

• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, primary care physicians, and nurses to create integrated care plans that promote holistic health.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress within electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• Assist clients and their families in navigating mental health challenges, providing psychoeducation to empower their understanding of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will also engage in team case reviews and discussions that emphasize collaborative solutions for overcoming barriers to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong empathy and emotional intelligence to build trusting relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in a community health clinic setting.

• Familiarity with treatment modalities relevant to trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment milestones.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices in counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
