Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to support accurate diagnoses of mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions.

• Craft personalized treatment plans that incorporate client strengths and address specific challenges faced by individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to encourage client participation and foster a safe therapeutic environment.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize treatment outcomes and effectiveness.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client progress and treatment plans utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with health regulations and best practices.

• Work collaboratively with an integrated care team, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate holistic care for clients with complex needs.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and implementing effective strategies to aid in their loved ones’ recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on serving clients from various backgrounds, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. You will be committed to approaching each client with respect and cultural competence, ensuring that diverse perspectives and experiences are acknowledged and addressed in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on relevant national examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems to document client interactions and treatment progress.
\n
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, providing individual and group therapy.

• Experience working with clients facing a range of physical and emotional health conditions, anxiety, depression, and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their impact on clients' mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
