Work Environment

This position is conducted onsite at our hospital facility, where a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to healthcare is paramount. You will work closely with a diverse team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other support staff to ensure that our patients receive coordinated and effective care. The standard work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday during regular business hours, although flexibility is often required to meet the needs of our patients, which may include occasional evening or weekend shifts to provide comprehensive coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and pain assessments to determine the underlying causes of patients' pain, integrating physical, psychological, and social factors for a holistic diagnosis.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may involve a blend of medical, pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological techniques for effective pain management.
• Deliver ongoing care and support to patients suffering from chronic pain, focusing on functional improvements, pain intensity reduction, and enhanced quality of life.
• Address acute pain resulting from injuries, surgical interventions, or medical procedures by employing evidence-based practices to alleviate discomfort and accelerate recovery.
• Prescribe and manage appropriate medications for pain relief while carefully monitoring patient responses for efficacy and potential side effects.
• Perform and supervise interventional procedures, including nerve blocks and epidural injections, tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients about pain management strategies, self-care techniques, and healthy lifestyle changes that empower them in their pain management journey.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) that accurately reflect patient assessments, treatments, and ongoing care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will include working with a diverse patient population, including those dealing with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain. You will apply empathy and compassion to support these patients in their journey toward pain relief and improved quality of life, ensuring that each individual receives the personalized attention they deserve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant medical field from an accredited institution.
• Active state Physician Assistant license in good standing.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pain Management or a closely related specialty.
• Strong clinical skills and comprehensive knowledge of pain management practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective patient interactions.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and respect.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) management systems to ensure accurate documentation.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, enabling effective diagnosis and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physician Assistant in a pain management or related healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Fellowship training or specialized certifications in Pain Management will be considered a strong asset.
• Proficient in performing interventional procedures related to pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 260,000 to USD 610,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
