Work Environment

The role of Physician Assistant will be primarily onsite at our Surgical Center in Miami. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and physical therapists. The typical work schedule consists of Monday through Friday, during standard business hours, while flexibility is expected to accommodate patient schedules and needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed medical evaluations and comprehensive pain assessments to accurately diagnose the root causes of each patient's pain, effectively considering physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a balance of pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological pain management strategies.
• Provide consistent follow-up care for patients suffering from chronic pain, focusing on pain reduction, improved functionality, and enhanced quality of life.
• Manage acute pain conditions resulting from injuries, surgeries, or other medical treatments using evidence-based methods to lessen discomfort and facilitate recovery.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust pain relief medications, taking into account the specific needs, preferences, and potential side effects for each patient.
• Oversee and perform interventional procedures including nerve blocks and epidural injections with a focus on enhancing pain management outcomes.
• Educate patients on self-care techniques and lifestyle changes that can empower them to take an active role in their pain management journey.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, medical histories, and follow-up recommendations.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
