Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments by meeting with clients to discuss their mental health status and identify underlying issues.

• Develop individualized therapeutic plans based on evidence-based approaches and tailored to each client’s needs.

• Facilitate ongoing therapy sessions via telehealth, equipping clients with the necessary tools and strategies to overcome their challenges.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) of clients’ progress, using efficient documentation software.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care through effective referrals.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients during challenging situations, enabling them to navigate through emergencies effectively.

• Engage in regular supervision sessions to discuss case consultation, enhance skills, and ensure adherence to ethical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a wide range of patients, including those dealing with substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, with exposure to diverse patient populations.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to approach therapy with sensitivity to clients’ diverse backgrounds.

• Capability to conduct both individual and group therapy sessions effectively.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and online communication platforms.

• Adherence to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality and establishing trust with clients.

• Excellent communication skills, facilitating strong rapport with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with specific therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

• Experience in working with various mental health conditions, particularly in a remote format.

• A strong foundation in crisis intervention techniques and the ability to manage difficult situations effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Grateful Guidance Counseling Center offers an attractive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
