Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions focusing on the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions designed to promote peer support and incorporate shared experiences for diverse adult populations.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to inform treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored coping strategies and social skills training, including anger management and behavior modification techniques to mitigate risk behaviors.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensuring all participants receive holistic support for their mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment reports, submitted timely to comply with regulatory requirements.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and continually enhance our therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse cross-section of adult clients, many of whom present with complex mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Active clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated clinical mental health training and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Experience or willingness to participate in Crisis Intervention Training.

Preferred Experience\n

• Post-internship field experience, ideally with a focus on adult clients in clinical settings.

• Ability to design and assess treatment plans, including establishing treatment goals, tracking progress, and synthesizing client feedback.

• Familiarity with multiple counseling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Proficient in utilizing the DSM-V for accurate assessments and diagnoses, ensuring appropriate interventions are applied.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and implementing strategies to address challenging behaviors.

• Submission of a strong resume, copies of your Master’s degree, and your NY state license/certification to demonstrate your qualifications.
