Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify effective, individualized treatment strategies.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on helping individuals recover from trauma and build resilience through therapeutic techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate recovery.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere for patients to process their trauma and visualize pathways to heal.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate response and care.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to reinforce their support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with patients who are survivors of various forms of trauma, including physical abuse, emotional neglect, and significant life events impacting mental health. Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
