Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite within the patient's home environment in Bakersfield, allowing for personalized and individualized care. Our team fosters a collaborative atmosphere, ensuring that each staff member can contribute their expertise. The regular working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify physical limitations and dysfunctions influenced by orthopedic conditions.
• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans in line with patients' goals and clinical findings, continuously adapting them based on progress.
• Administering therapeutic modalities, exercises, and educational interventions to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
• Monitoring patient responses to interventions, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Creating a supportive environment by engaging with patients and their families, providing compassionate guidance and education regarding treatment plans and self-management strategies.
• Documenting all aspects of patient care meticulously to comply with state and federal regulations and maintaining accurate records for continuity of care.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care and support for patients.
• Participating in departmental meetings and case conferences to enhance clinical practice through shared learning.
• Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and properly maintained.
• Assisting in the training and supervision of support staff where applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain management. By applying a patient-centered approach, you will help individuals regain their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being, significantly impacting their daily lives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A valid California Physical Therapist License.
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI), required at the time of hire.
• Completion of an accredited physical therapy program, holding at least a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience in home health settings, providing therapy in patients' residences.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to develop and adapt treatment plans effectively.
• Demonstrated competence in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

OrthoSport PT offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
