Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our spacious and well-equipped rehabilitation center. The facility boasts cutting-edge technology and therapeutic tools that enhance our ability to provide tailored treatments. Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, including two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will play an integral role in a fast-paced yet fulfilling environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your essential responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and identifying patient needs through thorough evaluations, including physical assessments and functional testing.
• Creating personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and techniques to promote recovery and improve functional mobility.
• Treating patients one-on-one, managing a workload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective personalized care.
• Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and functional training.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment protocols as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Documenting treatment sessions meticulously and maintaining accurate records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software like WebPT.
• Providing education and encouragement to patients, promoting healthy lifestyles and strategies for improving strength, flexibility, and balance.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Contributing to departmental initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve patients who have private medical insurance, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will be a vital part of their rehabilitation journey, motivating them through their challenges and celebrating their achievements as they regain their mobility and independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy with relevant certifications.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• A clean record with no disciplinary measures against the license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessments and treatment techniques.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your application:

• Previous experience working in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting.
• Expertise in manual therapy and rehabilitation exercise programs.
• A background in using EMR software for clinical documentation and progress tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
