Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by implementing diagnostic tests and assessments to design effective treatment plans that address their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Direct physical therapy treatment to promote pain relief, restore functionality, and improve strength, ensuring alignment with established care plans.
• Oversee the implementation of treatment plans by physical therapy assistants, providing guidance and support as needed to enhance patient outcomes.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of physical agents such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting therapy interventions in response to observed changes in condition and function.
• Actively engage in interdisciplinary consultations to optimize the comprehensive care delivered to patients, providing insights based on your assessments.
• Educate patients and their families on managing conditions, using therapeutic devices, and integrating exercises into daily routines to foster independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during therapeutic interventions.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in outpatient settings, is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in response to patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health physical therapy or outpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred.
