This position is fully remote, utilizing state-of-the-art telehealth technology to connect with patients from the comfort of your home or preferred workspace. You will maintain flexible work hours with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the specific challenges and needs of older adults, taking into consideration cognitive, physical, and social factors that affect their well-being.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, and family therapy.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations, using effective communication skills and therapeutic techniques to guide patients toward safety and stabilization.

• Work collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated care approach, participating in regular case consultations and team meetings.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their care.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on elderly patients, many of whom may be experiencing significant life changes, such as bereavement, chronic illness management, or cognitive decline. This role emphasizes a patient-centered approach, requiring sensitivity and skill in building rapport with older adults and their families. You will help guide them through challenging emotions and behavior changes associated with geriatric psychiatric conditions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in Illinois is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the field of mental health counseling is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
