Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Bright Shelter Healing Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers to relay patient progress, needs, and concerns, ensuring collaborative treatment planning.

• Maintaining precise clinical documentation and progress notes per department policies, protecting patient confidentiality while meeting regulatory requirements.

• Collaboratively developing treatment plans that encompass discharge strategies based on thorough psychosocial assessments.

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on crisis intervention and the assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Engaging in care coordination and assisting clients with discharge planning to facilitate access to ongoing services tailored to their individual needs.

• Consulting and coordinating with families and support systems to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment and support throughout the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves adult clients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Your expertise will be critical in guiding clients through their mental health journeys, employing evidence-based practices to foster resilience and promote healing.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent.

• A minimum of three years of experience working in an outpatient mental health setting, with a proven track record in delivering effective therapeutic interventions.
