Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your expertise will be crucial in various areas, including:

• Conducting comprehensive preliminary interviews, gathering detailed client histories, and meticulously documenting each case from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluating clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured assessments and diagnostic tools to inform treatment strategies.

• Creating evidence-based intervention and recovery plans tailored specifically for individuals, couples, families, and various group settings.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, applying therapeutic techniques to foster engagement and promote healing.

• Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to integrate care and provide comprehensive support.

• Following up with clients post-treatment or following any hospital admissions, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any ongoing needs.

• Identifying and preventing potential setbacks or behaviors that may hinder client recovery while actively involving family members and caregivers in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• In-depth knowledge and experience working with clients who have underlying physical and emotional health conditions and substance abuse issues.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess:

Compensation and Benefits\n
