Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, offering a flexible work setting that allows you to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home while maintaining a focus on providing high-quality care. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to effectively evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that consider the individual’s developmental stage and interpersonal dynamics.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or play therapy, to address diverse mental health concerns.

• Collaborate seamlessly with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive, holistic patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Educate families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to ensure continued learning and best practices.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role encompasses a diverse population of children and adolescents dealing with various emotional and behavioral challenges. Your work will be pivotal in providing therapeutic interventions that promote the mental well-being of young individuals, helping them cope with difficulties such as trauma, ADHD, depression, and anxiety disorders. Establishing trust and rapport with patients and their families will be essential in creating a safe space for healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Robust knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and childhood development principles.

• Proven experience offering individual and family therapy specifically for young individuals in clinical settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Demonstrated ability to connect with and build trust with children, adolescents, and their support networks.

• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
