Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that evaluate the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass the unique developmental stages and family contexts of each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing best practices to treat various mental health concerns in young individuals.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to support their children effectively.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and integrated care for patients.

• Respond to mental health crises with timely interventions, guiding children and adolescents through acute situations.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and valuable community resources.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation of patient interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development activities.

• Engage with current research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to inform your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on providing mental health care to children and adolescents, typically ranging from ages 5 to 18. You will have the opportunity to address a diverse array of mental health challenges, supporting young patients and their families through difficult transitions and encouraging resilience and growth in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LP, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy effectively to young patients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.
\n
• Ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their caregivers.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is required, candidates with experience specifically in child and adolescent mental health therapy will be highly valued. Familiarity with virtual counseling methods and telehealth platforms will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
