Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our modern surgical center located in Plano, Texas. The role involves a structured Monday to Friday schedule, working 40 hours per week starting at 5:00 PM, ensuring work-life balance while delivering emergency patient care. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our surgical center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Responding promptly to trauma alerts, assessing patients’ conditions to identify the urgency of care needed.
• Stabilizing injured patients through immediate medical intervention, including administering medications and conducting essential life-saving procedures.
• Participating in resuscitation efforts, working alongside physicians during emergencies, and delivering critical care to enhance patient survival rates.
• Conducting thorough physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic results to inform treatment strategies.
• Administering treatments prescribed by supervising physicians, as well as collaborating with the trauma team to coordinate ongoing and interprofessional care.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma care and the recovery process to promote better health outcomes.
• Monitoring patients’ comfort levels, managing pain, and providing emotional support.
• Assisting in the transfer of patients to appropriate treatment units and facilities, ensuring continuity of care.
• Adhering to strict infection control protocols while performing trauma care procedures.

You will work primarily with patients experiencing acute trauma, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field followed by completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• A solid foundation in emergency medicine or trauma care, making you a confident responder in high-stakes situations.
• Expertise in trauma assessment protocols, along with an aptitude for executing and mastering life-saving procedures.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in emergency or trauma settings, will be favored. Compensation and Benefits
