Work Environment

You will work onsite at our hospital, collaborating closely with our esteemed general surgeons and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist a general surgeon in various capacities, including daily rounding, managing patient orders, facilitating admissions and discharges, and providing pre- and post-operative education and instructions.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by evaluating patients’ health conditions, diagnosing issues, and developing applicable treatment plans tailored to each case.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in the operating room, including experience with laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques.
• Document and maintain meticulous patient records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with state regulations and institutional policies.
• Participate in ED and CCU consults, providing expert opinions and recommendations aligned with patient care strategies.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance the quality of care provided to all patients.
• Stay engaged and proactively seek opportunities to learn and improve practice workflows for enhanced patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Express Care Medical, you will work with a diverse patient population including individuals of all ages requiring surgical interventions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring each patient receives personalized attention and high-quality healthcare tailored to their specific surgical needs. Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current state licensure and DEA License to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of advanced practice experience in surgery or hospital medicine is preferred.
• Experience as an OR/first assist, particularly in laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in surgical techniques and patient management within a hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, salaried position that is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including:
