Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide therapy through telehealth, utilizing innovative technologies to connect with clients in the comfort of their homes. Standard working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient scheduling needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for older adults, evaluating their emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities that consider cognitive changes, physical limitations, and social factors influencing mental health.

• Implement diverse therapeutic interventions ranging from individual to family therapy, aimed at addressing a spectrum of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare team, including geriatric psychiatrists, to ensure seamless integration of care.

• Provide crisis intervention support for elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies, employing effective de-escalation techniques.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources available to them, fostering an understanding of the client’s conditions.

• Maintain thorough and confidential records of patient interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage proactively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest in geriatric mental health care research.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-centered and empathetic approach toward interactions with clients and families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to log treatment notes and manage patient records efficiently.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to shared goals of patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience conducting therapy with the elderly population is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience.
