Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of patients' medical histories to inform treatment decisions.
• Engage in direct consultations to assess patients' physical conditions and symptoms, actively listening to their concerns.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions using observation and clinical assessment techniques, formulating individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct patients on the proper application of therapeutic exercises, ensuring that they understand each technique to maximize healing potential.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as massage and electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and promote recovery.
• Assist patients in utilizing ambulation devices, including wheelchairs and walkers, facilitating mobility and independence.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, tracking progress against established goals and adjusting plans as needed.
• Provide clear guidance to patients and their families regarding in-home treatment options and exercises to encourage ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care by sharing essential information to support a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be predominantly working with an active outpatient population, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Your expertise will be vital in helping patients regain their mobility and lead active, pain-free lives. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state Physical Therapy license allowing you to practice within Florida.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic setting, showcasing your proficiency in managing musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong background knowledge and skillfulness in applying therapeutic techniques and assessment methods.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and standard office software for documentation and communication.
