Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities, limitations, and goals through diagnostic tests and clinical assessments.
• Developing and implementing individualized physical therapy plans based on the initial evaluation, adjusting them as necessary in response to patient progress and feedback.
• Delivering direct therapy services including administering manual therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and modalities such as traction and massage, tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they understand and execute treatment plans effectively while continuously monitoring patient progress.
• Evaluating home environments and guiding modifications to promote patient safety and independence during rehabilitation processes.
• Preparing comprehensive clinical records and documentation, including OASIS assessments and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team in case conferences to discuss and refine treatment plans, ensuring all member inputs contribute to the overall patient care strategy.
• Providing education and training to patients and their families about therapy practices, equipment care, and lifestyle adjustments to support ongoing recovery.
• Serving as an advocate for home healthcare, guiding patients and families through their treatment journeys with empathy and support.
• Maintaining timely and organized clinical order submissions and documentation in adherence to company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working primarily with adults and elderly patients who may be recovering from surgery, trauma, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position should possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits
