This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to provide vital mental health support to clients dealing with mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, in an outpatient office setting.

Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while working in a structured environment focused on outpatient care. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts scheduled on a rotational basis. This setup provides an optimal work-life balance, ensuring our therapists can maintain their well-being while effectively serving our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass clients’ specific therapeutic goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to aid in clients’ healing processes.

• Provide psychoeducation and supportive counseling to clients and their families, focusing on treatment options, self-care strategies, and mood disorder management.

• Track client progress diligently and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.

• Collaborate closely with our team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated treatment approaches.

• Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying abreast of the latest research in mood disorders to effectively inform therapeutic practices.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enhance collective clinical skills.

• Advocate for our clients' needs, promoting destigmatization of mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Great Valley Counseling Center, you will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing mood disorders. Our patients range from young adults to older individuals, each bringing unique experiences and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be sensitive to cultural differences and committed to providing personalized care that respects each patient’s individuality.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Excellent communication skills, showcasing an ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred, we value a passion for ongoing learning and application of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
