Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct therapy sessions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and optimizing client performance in line with established treatment plans.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the appropriate application of therapy plans.
• Evaluate clients' functional abilities using a range of diagnostic assessments to formulate personalized treatment strategies.
• Assess the home environment, offering practical recommendations designed to increase the client's independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, ensuring clients are properly instructed, motivated, and supported through their rehabilitation exercises.
• Document clinical findings and progress, and prepare comprehensive records including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to case planning and management.
• Maintain comprehensive records including routine evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies.
• Consult with clients and their families to educate them about therapy devices, exercise regimens, and general physical therapy methodologies.
• Ensure timely submission of all necessary reports and documentation while adhering to all state and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, trauma, and chronic pain conditions, as well as those requiring rehabilitation after stroke or orthopedic injuries. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy settings, which could include acute care or home healthcare environments.
• Current CPR certification, alongside a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
