Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including depression and anxiety.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their personal goals, needs, and preferences.

• Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients through their recovery journeys.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and documenting changes to ensure continuity of care.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to facilitate integrated care and to optimize medication management where applicable.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and treatment modalities in the field of mood disorders to contribute to informed and effective care strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to promote ongoing learning and share best practices within the organization.

• Act as an advocate for clients, working towards reducing the stigma of mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are prioritized.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, especially CBT and DBT.

• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams of medical professionals.

• Strong communication skills that foster rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
