As a mental health therapist in this role, you will primarily work in a remote setting through our telehealth platform. This allows you to offer your expertise to clients anywhere in Oregon, making therapy accessible to those who may have barriers to receiving traditional in-person care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage collaboratively with the Utilization Review Department and Business Department to streamline authorization and payment processes, ensuring that clients receive timely interventions.

• Maintain continuity of care by proactively communicating with referral sources and outpatient providers at all stages of treatment, including admission, midpoint, and discharge.
\n
• Initiate discharge planning from the moment a client is admitted, facilitating discharge sessions to reinforce coping skills and ensure understanding of their transition plans before final appointments.
\n
• Skillfully manage crisis situations during therapy sessions and within the treatment milieu, providing support to the milieu staff while enhancing the overall therapeutic environment.
\n
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly at the time of service, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
\n
• Establish and maintain strong therapeutic rapport with clients and their families, conducting assessments to gauge risk factors such as suicidality and potential harm.
\n
• Facilitate the admission assessment process for new clients with professionalism and empathy, actively participating in clinical outreach and program tours.
\n
• Contribute to weekly treatment team meetings, sharing progress and clinical insights, while also supporting colleagues when they require assistance.
\n
• Conduct utilization reviews with insurance providers, supplying necessary clinical information for both initial and continued authorization of services.
\n
• Be readily accessible to clients’ family members or loved ones, maintaining prompt communication via email and phone calls during business hours.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse adult clients facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other related issues. Our clients often seek therapy via telehealth due to geographical barriers, physical disabilities, or scheduling difficulties, making it essential for you to adapt your therapeutic strategies for a virtual environment. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their mental well-being through effective treatment and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited institution.

• A valid independent license to practice in Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
