This role is designed for professionals who thrive in a remote work setting, with the capability of connecting with patients virtually and offering in-person sessions when required. Banyan Recovery prides itself on flexibility, with operational hours from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience-building, and patient empowerment.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process trauma, developing effective coping strategies along the way.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they receive immediate assistance and guidance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to stringent legal and ethical standards, to uphold confidentiality and compliance.

• Engage in case consultations, attend team meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development activities, emphasizing trauma-informed care techniques.

• Stay informed on the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy and therapy best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LPC at Banyan Recovery, you will primarily engage with individuals navigating trauma and its aftermath. Our patient population is diverse, including adults and adolescents seeking healing from traumatic experiences, stress-related disorders, and associated mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and mastery of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that reflect a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• An ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations, providing a stable environment for clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and additional computer applications relevant to patient care and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, enhancing your ability to address complex patient needs and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
