Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to gather a complete understanding of each patient's trauma history and present mental health needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate therapeutic progress.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping strategies.

• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to create a cohesive care plan for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, assessing risk and implementing appropriate support measures.

• Educate patients and families about the impact of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to bolster support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes, in line with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals affected by complex trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and dissociative disorders. Our patient demographic ranges from adolescents to adults, each facing unique challenges stemming from traumatic experiences. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding these individuals through their healing journeys, providing them with the skills needed to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
