Balanced Insight Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This full-time, remote position will primarily focus on providing individual and group therapy to children and families facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. As part of our efforts to ensure inclusive and effective treatment, we especially welcome applications from bilingual therapists who can communicate in Spanish or Portuguese.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in clients' homes or at our outpatient office, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

• Teach vital skills such as anger management, coping strategies, and social interactions, specifically targeting high-risk behaviors and enhancing overall emotional regulation.
\n
• Work closely with youth and their caregivers to develop decision-making skills that facilitate positive behavior at home, thereby reducing conflicts and improving family dynamics.
\n
• Collaborate with a diverse Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring integrated support for clients while maintaining consistent communication.
\n
• Timely submission of all clinical documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established deadlines to uphold the quality of care.
\n
• Participate in regular clinical meetings, contribute insights, and provide recommendations based on progress and behavior assessments to optimize service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on children aged 3 to 20 years, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will work collaboratively with families to design and implement therapeutic interventions that are culturally sensitive and effectively address each client's specific challenges, helping them navigate their path toward improvement and stability.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related mental health discipline.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, specifically during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability being a strong advantage.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support within a therapeutic framework.
\n
• Prior work with children, especially with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is strongly preferred.
\n
• Proficiency in bilingual services (Spanish or Portuguese) is highly desirable, enhancing our ability to reach diverse client populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
