Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients to evaluate their mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
\n
• Document case notes clearly and effectively from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans based on assessment findings, considering evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities that foster healing and support personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in client needs or circumstances.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a range of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Engage with family members and caregivers, providing education and support to help manage the mental health challenges of their loved ones.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to minimize these obstacles in collaboration with the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Avella Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults and families, and we pride ourselves on offering culturally competent care that recognizes and respects the unique backgrounds and needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensing as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly with AVATAR or similar platforms for documentation and case management.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a mental health counselor or in a related field.

• Familiarity with current best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of the effects of psychiatric medications.

• Experience working with individuals who have co-occurring physical health conditions or substance use disorders.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine compassion for helping others to improve their mental health and overall well-being.

Compensation and Benefits\n
