Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, strengths, and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement detailed, individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience enhancement, and coping strategy development.
\n
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in their healing journeys.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote trauma processing, emotional regulation, and skill-building.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care, especially during crises or emergencies.
\n
• Provide educational resources to patients and families about trauma responses and available support systems.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance care strategies and contribute to a team-focused work culture.

• Continuously update your knowledge base by staying current with the latest research and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with patients who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to combat veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals with complex grief or loss issues. The ideal candidate is empathetic, patient, and skilled in addressing the unique needs of these vulnerable populations, enabling them to recover and thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy, with a focus on trauma-informed practices.
\n
• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and a strong foundation in trauma-informed care.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey sensitivity and understanding in challenging situations.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health records and relevant computer applications effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT, is highly desirable. Additional training in mindfulness-based practices and resilience-building strategies will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
