Elite Coast Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position that provides a unique opportunity to offer psychological support and counseling to individuals, couples, and families through telehealth services. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a work-life balance. Utilizing advanced telehealth technology, you will conduct virtual therapy sessions in a secure and confidential setting. You will collaborate with a team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff, to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive mental health support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations through virtual meetings to assess clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using telehealth platforms, ensuring engaging interaction and effective therapeutic techniques.
• Monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, providing regular feedback and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to provide holistic care for clients who may require medication management or additional resources.
• Document all sessions accurately using electronic health records systems, ensuring compliant and thorough record-keeping.
• Educate clients and their support systems by introducing coping mechanisms and strategies for managing mental and behavioral health challenges.
• Identify opportunities for client referrals to community resources or additional services as needed, ensuring clients have access to comprehensive support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will be working with are diverse, showcasing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, familial issues, and substance abuse. You will play an essential role in guiding them through recovery and empowerment, helping them build resilience and coping skills necessary for their personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Tennessee.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate therapeutic concepts to clients and their families clearly.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients, promoting a therapeutic alliance.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.
• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health issues, as well as addictive behaviors will be advantageous.
• An understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for counseling.
• A firm grasp of medication effects, as understanding clients' prescriptions could enhance therapeutic outcomes.
