Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Soul Restore, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, effectively addressing various mental health challenges.

• Incorporating Christian-based counseling principles and techniques into therapeutic sessions for clients who prefer a faith-centered approach.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and goals.

• Delivering counseling services to clients referred from local churches and community organizations, strengthening community ties.

• Participating actively in community outreach efforts to build a robust caseload and attract new referral sources.

• Collaborating with other mental health professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Maintaining accurate client records and timely entering progress notes into the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engaging in open communication with the center director regarding your availability and scheduling needs.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field.

• Strong familiarity with biblical teachings and counseling techniques that align with Christian principles.

• Current independent licensure in Washington, D.C., or within 200 hours of completing residency.
\n
• Preferred dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.
\n
• Completion of EMDR training or willingness to pursue this training within three months of hire.

• Thorough understanding of various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.

• Ability to effectively serve diverse populations, displaying cultural competence and sensitivity.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of trauma counseling experience is required, candidates with additional experience in varied therapeutic settings or specific populations will be favored. Additional experience in community engagement or outreach will also be considered beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary between USD 100,000 and 105,000 annually, based on experience.
