Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Fresno, California. Work Environment\n

This position operates within a remote setting, providing flexibility in your work environment while supporting a diverse client base. The regular work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient requirements. This structure allows our therapists to balance work responsibilities with personal commitments while making a difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to evaluate their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, taking into consideration developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to tackle a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to engage parents and guardians, empowering them with strategies to create supportive home environments.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and holistic care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the care process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.

• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to foster collaborative clinical discussions and continuous professional development.

• Keep updated on current research, best practices, and innovations in child and adolescent mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will be working closely with young individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and developmental disorders. By employing a compassionate and child-centered therapeutic approach, you will help foster resilience and positive coping strategies in our young patients and support their families in the healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Prior experience in delivering individual and family therapy, particularly to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a child-centered approach to therapy.
\n
• Proficiency in building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families is essential to success in this role.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapy.

• Demonstrated expertise in a specific therapeutic modality such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavior therapy is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
