Work Environment\n

This role operates in a remote setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our interdisciplinary team members through virtual collaboration tools. As part of our hospice center's extended services, you will engage in meaningful interactions with families, contributing to a supportive and respectful environment aimed at fostering the developmental needs of children.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify children's developmental delays and strengths.

• Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to meet each child’s unique needs.
\n
• Monitor and analyze developmental outcomes and collaborate with team members to ensure a holistic approach in supporting families.
\n
• Provide essential support to families, offering strategies and resources that facilitate their child’s development alongside the IFSP.
\n
• Adhere to all federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance to maintain the highest standards of care.
\n
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a cooperative and nurturing learning environment.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices and follow Natural Learning Environment Practices to encourage the natural development of skills.
\n
• Implement educational and developmental strategies according to family priorities and child assessments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on infants and toddlers who display developmental delays or disabilities. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant difference in their early years by providing critical intervention services. Working closely with families, you're responsible for equipping them with tools and strategies that enhance their children's physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work; a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is mandatory.

• Must be licensed by the Department of Public Health to practice in Florida.

• A valid driver's license is required for potential travel to family homes or community settings when necessary.

• One year of demonstrated experience in providing early intervention services to children and families is essential.
