Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Aurora Mind Health Advocates, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for our clients.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating emotional intelligence and professionalism.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and healthy coping mechanisms.
\n
• Maintaining comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay abreast of trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to interpersonal violence, natural disasters, and significant life changes. You will be instrumental in supporting these individuals, many of whom seek guidance in understanding their experiences and recovering from the effects of trauma.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy, preferably with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
