Position Overview

CareSync Healthcare Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our innovative medical team based in Brooklyn, New York. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our physicians to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement comprehensive medical care for our patients. You will operate within the full scope of your licensure, ensuring accountability for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care. Your responsibilities include providing direct patient care, educating patients and their families, and managing transitions of care. You will perform medical consultations, conduct therapeutic procedures as delegated by supervising physicians, and contribute significantly to patient education and overall health management.

Work Environment

This full-time on-site position offers a dynamic and supportive work environment at our hospital facility located in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn. You will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality care. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and resources, allowing you to perform your duties effectively while ensuring a positive patient experience. The scheduled working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with a shift starting at 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients' medical histories to develop accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret a range of diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Treat diverse health conditions, collaborating with physicians to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records, documenting all assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including disease management, preventative measures, and lifestyle modifications.
• Participate in daily rounds and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promote patient engagement through effective communication and foster a positive environment for healing.
• Stay current on best practices and advancements in primary care through ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that ranges from pediatric to geriatric age groups, addressing a wide array of health concerns. You will serve patients within various settings, including outpatient care and more acute hospital environments, ensuring all receive equitable and high-quality healthcare services. Your focus will be on delivering holistic care, emphasizing disease prevention, health education, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in a family health or primary care clinic.
• Demonstrated specialization in family medicine is highly preferable.
• Strong knowledge of current healthcare regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge meaningful patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

We value extensive clinical experience, particularly in primary care settings, where you have successfully navigated the complexities of patient care across varying health conditions. Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, depending on your level of experience.
